Made by Royal Cast Collection, SMK
The sculpture was admired from the moment it was discovered. Especially the head was said to be one of the most beautiful ever made. It was copied in bronze, marble and plaster and received a large spread as model for drawing exercises and for the general admiration for the beauty of antique art.
